Huell Howser is one of our favorite friends.

Branded Beef Manager, Brian Kenny was the guest for the farm report of the inaugural episode of the Heritage Radio Network. He discussed the history of the Hearst Ranch, gave an in-depth look at the philosophy of the ranches and the beef program, and discussed the past, present, and future of agriculture. Hearst Ranch Beef meets the Humane Farm Animal Care Standards, which include nutritious diet without antibiotics, or hormones, animals raised with shelter, resting areas, sufficient space and the ability to engage in natural behaviors.
The American Grassfed Association protects and promotes true grassfed producers & grassfed products through national communication, education, research and marketing efforts.

The conservation easement negotiated between the American Land Conservancy, California Rangeland Trust and the Hearst Corporation on the Hearst Ranch, East of Highway 1, is held by the California Rangeland Trust, who continually monitors the Ranch insuring the protection of the valuable resources, habitat, history and the working landscape encompassed by the Hearst Ranch.

Hearst Ranch Beef was proud to participate in Slow Food Nation, held on Labor Day Weekend, 2008, in San Francisco. Hearst Ranch Beef was featured at a sold-out dinner benefiting the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy at Cafe Americano at the Hotel Vitale. Division Manager, Brian J. Kenny also spoke at several events associated with the conference.
Brian J. Kenny, Division Manager for Hearst Ranch Beef, was featured on two panels at Changemakers' Day at Slow Food Nation, held on Labor Day Weekend, 2008, in San Francisco. Kenny spoke with members of the grass-fed beef industry as well as representatives from several companies involved in Food Alliance Certified Sustainable Agriculture.
Hearst Ranch Beef is proud to supply it's Grass-fed Beef to Heritage Foods USA. Heritage Foods USA was formed in 2001 by Patrick Martins, founder of Slow Food USA. It is dedicated to celebrating regional cuisines and products. Heritage Foods USA will be launching a web-based food show and radio network, the Heritage Radio Network, in early 2009.
